And just like that, the summer has come and gone! We enjoyed the change of rhythm as we led, partnered and supported holiday activities with St. Mary’s Church, St. Saviours, Riverside, The Community Church and Trent and Dove Housing Association. We were able to connect with lots of children and families in particular, sharing the good news about Jesus’ love and increasing local knowledge about what we can offer.
Our team also volunteered with their churches, taking young people to Stafford Showground for the DTI and Limitless festivals where they saw three local young people make a first time commitment to following Christ for themselves.
It’s great to see churches and local organisations so keen to support children and young people across the town, using their gifts, talents and resources.
But now it’s back to our term-time rhythm.
Over the last academic year we connected with 2,450 different young people aged 5 – 25.
One of our priorities moving forward is to grow our capacity as a team in order to be available to even more young people over the next year. This includes staff and volunteers. Please can you pray that we connect with the right people at the right time, that God oversees the resourcing of it and I and the trustees have the wisdom to piece it all together!
Thank you for your ongoing support. We know we cannot do what we do on our own.
Date for your diaries: Our yearly ‘Thank you’ event will be Thursday 9th November 7.00pm. Venue to be confirmed. We’ll be looking back over the last year, presenting our annual impact report and giving thanks for everyone who’s been a part of making it happen.
