We made it! The holidays are here, and school is finally out for the summer.

Here at Burton Youth For Christ, there’s definitely a sense of tiredness after another busy year, but it’s matched by an even greater sense of thankfulness. At our team day this week, we took time to reflect on the moments that have stayed with us, and there were so many reasons to celebrate.

One highlight was seeing girls and their parents experience the Prom Dress Shop. Watching a young person find the dress that made them smile and feel special was a reminder that transformation can sometimes be seen in the simplest of moments. Others reflected on the privilege of watching young people grow in confidence, character and faith, while another highlight was seeing young people who wouldn’t normally join in with activities choose to come along to our youth drop-in, feel at ease and begin to belong.

As we shared our reflections, one theme kept emerging: how much we value serving together. We are incredibly grateful for the way our team has supported one another throughout the year, and above all, we give thanks to God for His continued faithfulness and provision. We’re thankful that, at this point, our finances are in a healthy place, enabling us to keep investing in the lives of children and young people across Burton.

Thank you for your continued giving, prayers, and encouragement. Everything we’ve been able to do this year has been made possible through the generosity of your support. We’re in this together!
