You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colours in the world. God is not a secret to be kept.
Mark 5:14-16
The Message
Jesus came to give us life in all its fullness – multicoloured, multi layered, purposeful life – not bland, not colourless, not dull.
Within science it explains that light is linked to the amount of colour we can see with the human eye – only when more light is present can we distinguish more colour. How amazing! So, as we come to know Jesus more this means more colour in our lives!
The young people entered into the spirit of all things colour by painting their T-shirts, masks, faces, arms, tiles, canvases – basically anything! There were colour games, with chances to earn more paint packets and of course the main event – the big paint throw! It was great to see those who were less confident to start with try out the activities on a gradual basis and then, getting stuck in by the end. It was truly inclusive and young people from different churches and youth groups mixed well together.
A big thank you goes to our amazing core team of volunteers and youth leaders who have enabled us to hold these youth events over the last year. We would not be able to do this without them.
