We are under way again this autumn with our Young Leader course. The course is designed for any young people aged between 16 – 20 who have a desire to grow in faith and in their christian leadership skills. The course runs monthly for 6 sessions, looking at leadership, spiritual disciplines, character, gifting, communication and teamwork with the end goal being that each young person serves as a young leader at our weekend away at Alton Castle in the Spring where they have the opportunity to preach, lead worship, lead small groups or pray with people in line with their gifting.
This year we have 8 young people on the course, from Elim, Riverside and The Community Church. They are the most awesome group, very chatty, very open in their relationship with God and very keen to grow and be stretched in their faith. How exciting that we have young people in our town who are hungry for God and are wanting to serve those younger than themselves.
These are very exciting times!
